Louth Town on the FA Vase trail at Kirby Muxloe after late leveller boost at Shirebrook Town

After three successive defeats in the UCL Division One, things looked grim as Louth's 10 men trailed 1-0 with three minutes to go until new dual signing from Boston Town Krisztian Gagyi found the far corner from a spectacular free kick from wide on the right.

“A point was a fair reflection of the game and well deserved,” said manager Carl Martin.
“I was really pleased with the grit and determination the lads showed as, going down to 10 men, it was tough going with Shirebrook up there or thereabouts and a decent side.
“But that is our third red card of the season and we've not yet played 10 games.
“So our discipline is something we need to look at and tidy up as it's becoming an Achille's heel.”
Daniel Evison was denied by a great save in a goalless first half, but on 51 minutes,Joe Shaw’s shot from distance took a massive deflection off a Louth player to wrong-foot the keeper and roll into the net.
Harry Crawford was then given his marching orders on 76 minutes after a second yellow card in six minutes before sub Gagyi's late heroics.
With one league win, Louth are one place above the drop zone and head to face a Kirby side who won two of their first 10 Midland League Division One games and sit fourth bottom.
Martin added: “We don't know much about them but we have kept an eye on them and, being a cup game, it's something the players and the club are looking forward to. We go there with high hopes and high spirits.”
