Sleaford Gymnastics Club shine at regional gradings

The grades are set elements at various levels which are performed across the whole of the UK.

Kennedy Shelley scored 13.033/14 for her bar routine, judged by a national judge.

It was the highest score of the day out of 46 children competing, and was probably the best score the club has ever had in the national gradings.

The girls trained extremely hard in preparation for this event to try and perfect skills on the vault, bar, beam, floor and a range and conditioning routine that shows the gymnasts’ flexibility, strength, control and skill.

All of the gymnasts passed their grading and some not only passed but gained commendations as well as distinctions.

Results: Abbie Jones – Grade 4 Commendation; Gabbie Greig – Grade 4 Pass; Molli Wilson – Grade 3 Commendation; Kennedy Shelley – Grade 3 Distinction and fifth position open age; Rebecca Fletcher – Grade 3 Distinction and fourth position in age.
