This year, the 1940s weekend will be held over the weekend of September 3/4.

The two fields at Ludborough station will be the centre stage for the event, with 1940s music, song and dance, military displays, re-enactors, vintage vehicles and an array of stalls.

LWR spokeswoman Pauline Nea said: “This year we have created extra space for additional stallholders who have 1940s-related merchandise.

“We also welcome any individuals or groups of re-enactors who haven’t been before.”
