New Jerry Green Dog Rescue charity shop set to open in Gainsborough

The new store, which is located at 14-16 Market Street, will open its doors on Monday, January 23, and will offer pre loved and new clothing, books and Bric a Brac.

The charity shop will be more than just a source of income, it will also be a community base where local people can come for a friendly chat, find out ways in which they can help support Jerry Green Dog Rescue and how the charity can support you and your dog should you need it.

Jo Findlay, retail manager said “We are thrilled to be opening our fourth store here in Gainsborough and look forward to getting to know the local community.

"As more people are becoming environmentally friendly we are glad to be offering pre loved items at an affordable price.

“We really appreciate all the donations of pre loved items we receive, if you would like to drop off items please do so by calling into the shop."

The store has created two full time job roles being further supported with volunteering roles.

Jerry Green Dog Rescue have helped dogs in need since 1961, in that time the charity has rehomed more than 40,000 dogs and with your help raising funds, can continue to do so for many more years to come.

A spokesman from Jerry Green Dog Rescue said: “We believe all dogs deserve a happy life and a safe, loving home and your kindness can help to support the work of the charity.

"As an animal welfare charity, we solely rely on community support and the generosity of people.

"Our mission during the cost of living crisis we are all currently facing, is to ride out this storm, help as many families as possible keep their much loved pets, and ensure we can always be there for the dogs that need us the most.”

The store is open Monday to Saturday 9am to 4.30pm.
